Amy Bushatz

Amy Bushatz is the Executive Editor of Military.com. A longtime journalist, Amy is a subject matter expert in military, veteran and military dependent personnel issues and policies. Amy and her husband Luke, a current member of the Alaska Army National Guard who left active duty in 2016, live near Anchorage, Alaska with their two children. They spend their free time outdoors as a family, volunteering in their veteran community through a variety of national and local non-profits.

Richard Sisk

Richard Sisk has more than 40 years of experience in journalism as a reporter and editor for news wires and the N.Y. Daily News. He has embedded with U.S. troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, and reported from Beirut, Tel Aviv, Bosnia, Kosovo, Panama, Haiti, Guatemala, Northern Ireland, Vietnam, Eritrea and other conflict zones. He has also covered five presidential campaigns. Born in Brooklyn, he is a 1965 graduate of LeMoyne College in Syracuse, N.Y., with a degree in political science. He served with the 2nd Battalion Fourth Marines in Vietnam in 1967-68.

Patricia Kime

Patricia Nevins Kime has covered military personnel and veterans issues for nearly three decades. As a freelance editor and writer, she serves as associate editor at Military.com and previously spent five years as a senior writer at Military Times, covering military health care and medicine. Her work has appeared in The Washington Post, The New York Times, USA Today, Kaiser Health News and other publications. An award-winning journalist, she was named among the 100 most influential veterans media members by HillVets in 2015 and honored in 2019 by the Association of Health Care Journalists, winning first place for beat reporting. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Virginia.
